MY CAR IS REPAIRED :)

Three months ago, I was wondering WHO TF CRUSHED MY CAR :(. Cos it was parked along the road and someone just crashed into it, destroying my entire wheel and the corner of my bumper ^^

1. I filed a complaint, mentionning the plate number, plate which was found on the ground next to my car. The police received it and I got a statement (basically a PDF mentionning what I wrote myself), but I still have no news today from the investigation…

2. A tow truck dropped it at a garage (no, in fact, garage was closed, so they dropped it in a parking, I then had to call the company and multiple garages to find one accepting to take it, calls I made when I was at the airport the morning I was going to Berlin the second time – and when I landed, I waited 45min for my insurance to reply so I could inform them of the change loooool)

3. This garage told me it was 4000€ (i.e written-off / irreparable) because it was too distorted at the back. LMAO 4000€ ? I was just soooo sad and angry, found it so unfair. They replaced the crushed wheel with the spare wheel tho, so I was able to drive it back home, but as I was convinced it was irreparable, it stayed in the dust in my garage for like 2 months lmao.

4. Eventually I decided to bring it to another smaller garage, which turned out to be so nice and professional!! they told me they could change the wheel and the two tires for like 300€. So they did, and they told me that, no it was not too deformed to drive and it was no use to change the entire thing like the first garage told me.

5. Bought a bumper online for 150€ and changed it myself!! super proud.

6. Also bought new hubcaps for the wheels for like 40€.

7. Now it’s repaired!! for just approx. 500€. Keeping the bills in case someday they find the responsible 😹 (I can dream)
